How listings work
West Virginia Septic Contractors is an independent directory. Businesses don't pay to be listed, and a listing isn't an endorsement.
Where listings come from
- Google Maps: businesses listed under septic services, plus excavators and plumbers whose own websites say they do septic work.
- Business websites and directories: to confirm services and the counties a company says it serves.
- West Virginia's certified installer roster: individuals certified by the state's Office of Environmental Health Services to install onsite sewage systems. For these individuals we show only their name, town and phone number.
What we leave out
- Businesses marked closed on Google, or with no reviews at all.
- Excavators and plumbers whose websites don't mention septic work.
- Installers whose state certification has lapsed.
- Public utilities, treatment plants and stores that only sell septic products.
"Also serving" lists
Septic companies often work across county lines. Each county page lists companies that name that county as part of their service area first, then companies based within about 30 miles of the county line.
Ratings
Star ratings and review counts come from Google Maps and are shown as they appeared when the directory was last updated.
Before you hire
Ask for proof of certification and insurance, confirm who pulls the permit, and get a written estimate. New systems and major repairs need a permit from your county health department.
